Usually we don't raise heritage birds, as they take a long time, but the hatchery made a mistake, and we experimented... And now, we have a limited supply of whole leghorn chickens! Leghorn is an Italian breed brought to the US about 1828 from Tuscan. They are known for their efficiency in converting feed into protein. Their meat is very lean, and flavorful. This breed is smaller - about 2.5 pounds. If you like these, we may try again! $25/bird
Kittens
We have adorable kittens looking for a home. Well socialized. Recommend 2 if they will be alone a lot. Trained to use litter pan. Have not seen a vet. $20.
Farm Help Needed!
Work is part time and flexible. Project work, typically on Saturdays, but you can work on your own during the week. Includes everything from moving hay to building things to equipment maintenance. We will match your interests, skill, and time. Chores are done twice daily - you can sign up for 1-2 days/week, morning or evening. You will not be paid what you are worth, but the work is better than going to the gym and very satisfying.
